Great question Konstantin! So my journey has a background in gaming. I've been dreaming of VR since I was 13 or younger. The main reason I am now all-in to VR is because of an experience I had in Christmas last year (2019). We were at my cousin's house and as entertainment, we all tried his PlayStation VR headset.
Immediately, I felt the same sense of awe and wonder I felt when I played CounterStrike 1.6 for the first time and was introduced to the world of online gaming. Back then, I thought "oh my God. How is it possible that I can play with 16 people from around the world at the same time, and communicate via a microphone? This is the future" This was back in the early 2000's, in a time before Wi-fi and mobile phones.
Stepping into VR in 2019 (in a relatively lower-powered headset with the PSVR), I felt that sense of wonder again. While I love gaming, like you, I am most interested in narratives. VR has the possibility to transform the world of gaming and provide a new Medium for storytelling. I actually had one of the most powerful narrative experiences even in VR this year:

While the tech is still young, I highly recommend getting into it. The most cost-efficient option is to buy an Oculus Quest. It is very user friendly and has NO WIRES. This is incredibly important for immersive storytelling in my opinion. Hit me up if you have questions.
